Whenever I design for boem, I think of bringing something thoughtful and harmonious into the world. Somehow we have ended up in a time, where everything is always fast and there is always a need for something new. In our atelier it is the quite opposite, it is never hectic, never loud and nothing happens fast.
When I was designing boem’s new bag charms, I was looking for symbols of harmony, that would remind you of your natural state of inner peace, however busy your life might get. The result of this quest are these playful bag accessories, that evoke a sense of calm luxury. A piece of leather art, that is never the center of attention, but always the perfect addition to any bag.
The meticulous leather goods craftsmanship is the hallmark of these creations, which are brought to life by hand stitched seams and hand painted edges. Its features being precisely assembled by the stitching of contrasting leather strips and artisanal linen thread.
Another feature, that I wanted to incorporate into the creation of these charms, was the classic look of black and white, balancing the playful symbols with the most timeless colour way of all time. And if you feel like adding a bit of colour into your life, a wide range of leather colours is available for our bag charms. Add initials or a date to make these charms the perfect personal gift.
To produce the Yin Yang Charm under our high artisanal standards we need 7 hours of manufacturing time.
The above mentioned manufacturing time does not include the hours, that go into the development of our products. Each product is the result of an original design idea, that has been sketched, sampled and tested in our atelier. This process usually ranges over 1-2 years.

Our goat skin leather come from a renowned tannery in France, that has been in business for over 100 years and whose tanners are true masters of their craft. This tannery has specialized on leather for the luxury market, which is why their leather is being used by some of the most luxurious and prestigious design houses. For example you will find this goat skin in a lot of Hermès’s small leather goods.
This luxurious leather is scratch resistant and resilient, as well as it is soft and lightweight– a leather made to be used everyday. Also the leather surface is dirt-repellant and can be easily cleaned, if necessary.
Our products are made with the greatest of care and attention to detail. Our Yin Yang Charm is entirely manufactured in our atelier in Berlin, Germany.
Our materials are chosen amongst the highest quality suppliers on the market. Our goat skin leather comes from a tannery in the South of France and our linen thread is by Fil Au Chinois from France.
